IRVINE, California, April 2, 2019 – ArculesThe main innovators in integrated video services in the cloud today announced the incorporation of access control as a service (ACaaS). Arcules now allows customers to centrally manage access control effectively in geographically dispersed business locations in a single intuitive user interface.
The Arcules services package provides video analysis, advanced video management of video surveillance data and access to control information in a unified solution. End users can correlate video surveillance data with access control events, associate cameras with doors, view the live status of the doors and authorize access to grant or restrict permits, all through the Arcules portal. Arcules also integrates alarms in video and access services. The package eliminates the need to configure multiple pieces of software to administer VMS and users and holders of access control cards. Arcules ACaaS is also available as an independent cloud service, which provides the same easy-to-use interface, user administration and access functionality, without video data or video analysis.
The Arcs ACaaS will support access control through integration with Axis Communications' Controllers of network doors AXIS A1601. In addition, the use of the Arcules service will allow customers who take advantage of Axis surveillance camera technology to automatically update the firmware directly through the use of the Arcules platform, further enhancing the ability of an organization's security infrastructure to maintain itself updated.
"At Axis Communications, we see access control as a central component of a comprehensive security approach, and the cloud as the main driver of the next evolution of the security market," said Alex Walthers, Business Development Manager, Program Application Development Partners, Axis Communications, Inc. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to collaborate with Arcules to ensure tight integration of our solutions and services to deliver a refined user experience that simplifies administration, deployment and administration."
"Since our creation, Arcules has worked to redefine the expectations of video cloud services by helping companies realize the untapped potential of available data," said Andreas Pettersson, CEO of Arcules. "With the introduction of access control and our collaboration with Axis Communications, we added another rich layer to our service that allows organizations to build an intelligent infrastructure that drives informed decision making."
Arcules will highlight the capabilities of its cloud-based access control and video services during the ISC West Conference and Exhibition at booth number 31079, April 10-12, 2019, at Sands Expo in Las Vegas. Click here to schedule a demonstration or meeting directly with the team.
