Groenlo, The Netherlands, June 18, 2019 – (ACN Newswire) – Suprema, a world leader in biometrics and security technologies, announced today that it has integrated its latest BioStar 2 solution into the Nedap access control system, AEOS. This will allow organizations worldwide to use Suprema's incredibly accurate fingerprint recognition technology in combination with AEOS.
Ruben Brinkman, Nedap Alliance Manager explains: "There is a growing worldwide demand for smarter and safer ways to identify people. Biometric technology is exceeding the limits in this field, consolidating greater security with unmatched comfort. We are fully adopting these developments and we believe that the integration of Biostar is a valuable extension of our proposal. We are very happy to welcome Suprema to our ecosystem of technology partners and we look forward to future developments. "
Suprema achieved this integration through the use of Nedap's Bio-API, which was specifically developed to allow biometric manufacturers to integrate their solutions into AEOS.
"The integration of Suprema BioStar 2 with Nedap AEOS is an ideal combination of the best access control and biometrics solutions. To maximize the benefits of the Nedap access control solution, Suprema will provide users with the best available biometric security in the market, "said Hanchul Kim, director of global sales for Suprema.
The integration is so fluid that it is not necessary for operators to switch from one screen to another: they can continue working in AEOS to manage finger enrollment and biometric identities. Biometric profiles are stored in BioStar and are constantly synchronized with AEOS; An exchange of protected information through SSL certificates, which provide secure encryption.
Nedap and Suprema customers face an exceptional variety of security requirements. "This can make the implementation of the project complex in nature," says Ruben Brinkman. He continues: "So, the main objective of this integration has always been to provide a truly flexible and scalable solution that is easy to implement and maintain. It has been well received by the market, with the first projects already underway."
Both Nedap and Suprema are firmly committed to maintaining this integration, ensuring compatibility with previous versions and adding new features along the way.
