Allegion UK, a leading specialist in fire safety and security hardware, has launched a new generation of wireless locks in the United Kingdom.
The Schlage LE mortise lock with ENGAGE technology has been specifically developed to extend effective electronic access control throughout the interior of a building, in addition to the exterior doors, providing a unique and secure locking device for the entire building.

Trevor Ball, Allegion's business development manager in the United Kingdom and Ireland, said the positive comments and sales he has received in the US. UU. Since its launch in 2017 they have helped accelerate the introduction of the product in the United Kingdom.
He said: “Sales of the inlay lock Schlage LE with ENGAGE technology have had a good performance abroad and we have also experienced a growing demand in the UK for wireless technology locks, so we were determined to introduce it here so Soon as we could.
“By using Schlage wireless locks, this gives you the opportunity to take the deepest electronic access control inside the building, which opens up the possibility of using only one type of lock to secure both the interior and the exterior. The benefits of this compared to traditional methods that have tended to focus only on the safety of the building's exterior are enormous.
“In addition to being easy and quick to install, the Schlage is also cost effective and low maintenance, with a battery life of up to two years. We are sure that the combination of this superior product with the ease of maintenance will make it an attractive proposal for managers and specifiers of facilities ”.
The Schlage LE wireless locks combine the lock, the credential reader, the door position sensor and the exit request switch in one unit. Crucially, there are no cables to pass to the lock and no additional hardware is required.
The built-in Bluetooth allows LE wireless locks to connect directly to smartphones and tablets. These locks are available in nine finishes, from aged bronze to satin chrome with antimicrobial coating, as well as a large number of lever styles.
For advanced capabilities, including real-time network communication with the ENGAGE Gateway, LE wireless locks are managed with the software of one of our members of the physical access control software alliance.
