Telpo has introduced a new biometric facial recognition terminal to provide physical access control to businesses and government organizations, according to a company announcement.
The TPS980 is compatible with Android 7.1 and Linux operating systems and runs on a 1.8 GHz dual-core processor plus 1.4 GHz four cores, with an 8-inch HD display. Customers can choose between single lens, double lens and 3D depth detection cameras, and floor or wall mounted deployments.
The new facial recognition access control solution complies with ISO14443 type A / B, Mifare, ISO18092, EMV Contactless L1, Paywave and Paypass standards. It includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional LTE connectivity, and operates at freezing temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit).
The processing capabilities of the TPS980 limit the effect of facial expression, lighting and input equipment on the matching process, and the system also stores access records for convenient consultation and monitoring functions.
Telpo recently showed its range of point of sale biometric machines at Asean Retail fair in Bangkok.
