BioConnect has launched an innovation center in Toronto called BioConnect Labs, which leverages the company's R&D growth engine to focus on biometrics-based security innovation, the company announced.
With the support of customers and a Investment of $ 3.9 million from FedDev Ontario, BioConnect has been working on the development of BioConnect Labs for the past two years. The project involves BioConnect customers and partners, along with universities and is backed by government investments in innovation. To begin, the focus will be on projects related to friction-free movement and access, automated learning and data, operating systems for physical access and security, and open standards for portable identity banks.
Led by Todd Finch, Head of Laboratories, and Courtney Gibson, Head of Technology and BioConnect CTO and CISO, several multifunctional experts will be part of the center to work at all stages of the project, such as incubation and development.

In November, BioConnect it was recognized for the "Best Project" at the 10th conference of the Supreme Global Partner Program (SGPP) in Lisbon Earlier this year, BioConnect technology was added to the ForgeRock identity and access management platform to provide business grade biometrics for secure privileged access.
